Last Minute Holidays And How To Make The Best Of Them?!

Wednesday, October 26th, 2011

Last minute holidays are never easy to plan, especially if you are on a tight budget or are travelling to a place you have never been to before and thus are hardly sure of what you are looking for! However, this can turn into quite a change and fun too, if you can plan your holiday in a systematic order and understand the constraints you will have to put up with.

For instance if you are planning your last minute holiday during a off-holiday season time, you have better chances of getting lucky as compared to those who plan last minute holidays during the holiday season rush. Hence you can hope to find bargain holidays too and save on some extra bucks!

Also in case of most last minute holidays, it is much easier to make small bookings for a small group of people, such as 2-5 people, and it is usually not advisable to travel in large groups in such cases. This is because, when you travel in a large group, it is obvious that you would all want to stay in the same hotel and travel in the same flight together. But this may not be easy owing to limited vacancies.

In case the above constraints work in your favor, find out about a travel agency that can help you make the last minute bookings and help you get the best holiday deals with their remaining available travel packages. Try to plan your entire holiday with a single travel agent only, so that they might offer you a discount on the bulk services purchased by you. Let them know what kind of a trip you are looking for and provide all required details, to get the most perfect last minute holidays you can ask for and have the best vacation you can dream of!

Edinburgh Bed and Breakfast

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

Family rooms in Edinburgh Bed and Breakfast are untypical because most B&Bs are single or double rooms in converted houses.

Our B+B is different. You will stay in a purpose-built accommodation wing, designed to meet your needs. We offer three large en suite rooms, all of which have up to 5 bed spaces. All three are en suite, far away from the road and very quiet and peaceful.

Each room at our Bed and Breakfast Edinburgh can be either a family room, twin, triple or double – they are too big to be just single rooms although occasionally, if we are quiet, we may offer a single person a family room for a reduced price.

The BIG advantage of staying with us is the sheer CAPACITY of our family rooms, the size and comfort that allows whole families to stay together without being split into different rooms.

Each room has a television and DVD Player – we have a selection of DVDs from which you can borrow free of charge. En suite facilities including a power shower. It has been said by many guests that our rooms are SUPERIOR to those found in ‘fancy hotels’. We tend to agree!

There is separate key access for your room area so you don’t have to come through the main house each time you come and go – it’s a bit like having your own flat. A path leads from the access door up to our free car park at the front.

Big rooms also work for large groups, for example tourists visiting Edinburgh in large numbers, visitors to The Royal Highland Show, Scottish Motorcycle Show,, Dog Show, not forgetting Rugby fans attending Internationals at nearby Murrayfield Rugby Stadium.

Craigievar boasts a landscaped back garden with a kidney shaped garden pond complete with waterfall. Guests are welcome in the garden, however small children should be watched carefully when they are near the pond.

We serve a full Scottish Breakfast including bacon, sausages, poached, fried or scrambled eggs, black pudding, haggis, scotch dumpling, tomato, potato scone, toast. Alternatively there are cereals and yoghurt. Coffee and tea are served when you enter the dining room in the morning.

If you want to see some more of Scotland, such as Loch Lomond, Loch Ness, The Scottish Highlands or even a working distillery, you can book a Greyline Coach Tour through Craigievar. It’ll cost you the same as if you booked directly, you won’t have to go into town to catch the coach in fact the coach will come to collect you from the bed and Breakfast after breakfast – beat that!

We hope you will choose to stay with us at our Cheap B&B Edinburgh and add your names to our growing Visitor Book.
